Hello! Welcome to the Rules Page. Rules that are displayed here must be followed by every user who joins the Animal Jam Dens Wiki. If any rule listed on this page is broken by a user they will be punished according to the Block Policy.
Please note that you are responsible for your own account. Claiming that someone else broke the rules on your account does not excuse you from a warning or consequence as you are responsible for keeping your account safe from others.
- Do not vandalize. Purging content from pages, editing someone's profile without their permission, or excessively posting inaccurate content on articles is regarded as vandalism.
- Do not spam. This includes repeatedly posting unnecessary/nonsense on pages or necro-posting (posting on threads or discussions that are 1 month or older). The only place where spam is permitted is on your own userpage.
- Do not harass other users on any of these means of interacting. Harassing includes targeting someone, cursing others, making discriminatory jokes/slurs, and doxxing (sharing personally identifying information about others).
- The only minor curse words that you may use are "crap", "heck", "hell", "dang", "damn", and "lmao". Other curse words or abbreviated versions of them are forbidden.
- Do not advertise where irrelevant. You may advertise social media in your own user profile, and you may advertise shops or commission stores on the appropriate discussion boards. However, doing so excessively is not allowed.
- When uploading an image to the wiki, be it for an article or otherwise, ensure that it is not inappropriate, gory, disturbing, or possibly triggering for others. This includes images that some may be scared by, or images that can be considered gross or frightening.
- Do not make unnecessary edits to articles such as changing one word, adding an unnecessary sentence, or fixing a very minor grammar mistake. This is considered edit farming or badge farming (making several unnecessary edits for badges).
- You may not impersonate any other person on this wiki. Users are permitted to have a reasonable number of alternate accounts, but using alternate accounts to defraud others or impersonate others is not allowed on the wiki whatsoever.
- Do not use alternate accounts to evade a ban or block from the wiki. If you would like to review your block or ban reasons with a staff member, do so politely on another wiki such as Community Central.
- Do not create pages that are not about den decorators, decorated dens, den ideas, or Animal Jam dens.
- Keep discussion posts and page comments relevant. Irrelevant content includes posting comments unrelated to the page at the bottom of an article, changing a discussion topic, et cetera. Discussion topics may be changed on playful talk threads, but for threads such as den discussion threads, changing the topic to something entirely irrelevant is not permitted.
- Do not disregard warnings from staff members by removing warnings from your message wall.
- Be kind to staff members. Harassment (see Rule 3) or rudeness of any sort is not tolerated and is eligible for punishment.
- Do not post links that are meant to defraud other users. This includes fake Animal Jam homepage links, phishing scams, and viruses.
- When in Live Chat, you are able to have private conversations with other users. Do not take advantage of this feature to break rules. Private conversations should typically stay private unless both sides give consent for it to be shared. However, if you see someone breaking the rules in a private conversation, you are allowed to take screenshots in order to report this to a staff member.
- Do not try to take credit for another person's dens, ideas, or any other work such as art or images.
- The Animal Jam Terms of Service apply to our wiki as well. If you are a scammer, hacker, harasser, or anything of that sort, you will be blocked on this wiki.
